New Eights league tournament coming in 2024

A new 8-a-side league proposed for February and March 2024 is set to liven up the Chiang Mai local cricket scene and provide new playing opportunities for those not involved in Sunday friendlies at Gymkhana Club.

This proposal is to run a short-term, 8-a-side league tournament where all players are involved in an exciting and competitive competition, played at the Gymkhana and Prem grounds with three matches each day.

With three matches played on the day, it is anticipated that it will create a good atmosphere with many players staying to watch the next match or arriving early to watch the earlier match.

A title sponsor will be sought to reduce costs further and help the young Thai teams with fees.
