A new 8-a-side league proposed for February and March 2024 is set to liven up the Chiang Mai local cricket scene and provide new playing opportunities for those not involved in Sunday friendlies at Gymkhana Club.

A title sponsor will be sought to reduce costs further and help the young Thai teams with fees.
