Since 2012, Lanna Cricket Club has been much more than a group of people playing cricket on weekends: we are a community made up of people from across the world who have chosen Chiang Mai as home. We have built a club that brings together players of every age, background and nationality, a group of people that believe above everything else that the future of cricket in Northern Thailand belongs to Thai players.
Our goal is simple: create opportunities for young people through cricket.
Over the leadup to our 2026/27 season we are running a campaign will help us rebuild and expand grassroots cricket development across Chiang Mai and the surrounding provinces, ensuring the next generation has the chance to discover, enjoy and excel in a sport that can open doors far beyond the boundary rope.
Every donation will directly help us grow the game where it matters most.
Our plans include:
- Introducing cricket back into local schools through regular coaching sessions.
- Training and employing young Thai coaches to inspire the next generation.
- Creating opportunities for underprivileged players to obtain their Thai ID.
- Providing equipment and facilities for new players.
- Creating more playing opportunities for Thai cricketers through local leagues and development matches.
- Expanding youth programmes throughout Chiang Mai and neighbouring provinces.
- Supporting talented players so financial barriers don’t stop them reaching their potential.
