History was made in the 2026 edition of the Dick Wood Cup as Gymkhana Club and British Club tied for the first time in history. With British Club having won the Cup in 2025 they retained the trophy in a fantastic tribute to Sir Nick White, who had played in so many of these contests. who died during the course of the afternoon while the players were on the field.

Both sides scored 239 for six in 30 overs in a remarkable day’s cricket as Insha and Champ both made fifties for Gymkhana Club as British Club used 11 bowlers but Rahul Gupte and Avneesh Chopra both did the same for British Club. Michael Flowers took his team to the brink of victory but Ton was bowled by the last ball of the day as Siva took 2 for 14. The presentation was as enjoyable as ever but Jack Dunford was able to pay a heartfelt tribute to his friend Sir Nick and he found out later that he had passed away while the match was being played after losing his fight with cancer.
