Thailand
won by 179 runs

Thailand’s men achieved one of the most convincing victories in their history as they defeated Indonesia by 179 runs to gain their second win in three matches in the Southeast Asian Games in Malaysia. Wanchana Uisuk became the first man to hit a hundred in the SEA Games as he also made his second international century of the year. Thailand amassed a total of 242 for 5 in 50 overs with Chanchai Pengkamta again batting well at the end, and Wanchana, a remarkable left-handed all-rounder, then opened the bowling and took the first two wickets.

Vichanath Singh and Kamron Senamontree then combined to take four wickets in the space of six balls as Indonesia collapsed to 15 for 7 before eventually being bowled out for 63 as Vichanath claimed his third wicket to seal victory. Barring some highly unlikely results in other matches Thailand will now win a medal in the 50-over cricket event and they will be looking to finish their campaign with another victory against Singapore.
